Skiing & Snowboarding
Open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closing day April 3, 2016.
With nearly 700 skiable acres and a 2,000 vertical foot drop, Sunlight offers big skiing at an affordable price. About 75% of Sunlight's terrain is rated as beginner or intermediate, making it the perfect place for beginners. Here you don't just learn to ski or snowboard, you learn to shine. Sunlight offers some of the most affordable ski lessons in the nation.
But that's Sunlight's gentle side. We're also home to the steepest lift-served run in the state. Named "The Heathen," this is one of several double-black diamond runs tucked away under the pines and in the shadows of the East Ridge. The Heathen falls out from under your boots at a breathtaking 52 degrees.
In other areas on the mountain, rich Aspen groves makes the tree skiing at Sunlight some of the best in the state. And if you like long, rolling cruisers, then you'll love the 2.5 mile Ute trail.
All 67 trails lead right back to the lodge where you can stow your brown bag lunch or pick up something hot at the grill. No hassles. No hype. It’s exactly what you’ve been missing.
The historic 19-room Sunlight Lodge Bed & Breakfast offers vintage lodging right on the mountain. The lounge features apres ski specials all season long, and snowmobile tours leave right from the property.
For a ski-in/ski-out option, check-in to the Brettleberg Condominiums.
We're located just 12 miles south of Glenwood Springs, where you can après ski in the world’s largest hot springs pool and still find a room for under $100 a night. And when you book Sunlight’s Ski Swim Stay package, kids 12 and under ski free. You’ll also find plenty of affordable restaurants, many within an easy walk of Glenwood’s historic downtown.
