Skier Responsibility Code
1. Ski in control and in such a manner that you can stop or avoid other skiers or objects.
2. When skiing downhill or overtaking another skier, you must avoid the skier below you.
3. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
4. When entering a trail or starting downhill, yield to other skiers.
5. All skiers must wear retention straps or other devices to prevent runaway skis or snowboards.
6. Keep off closed trails and posted areas. Observe all posted signs and closure ropes.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.
Terrain Park Code
1. Look before you leap. Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know your landings are clear. Clear yourself out of the landing area.
2. Easy style it. Start small and work your way up.
3. Respect gets respect. From the lift line through the park.
The Colorado Ski Safety Act
Warning Under Colorado law, a skier assumes the risk of any injury to person or property resulting from any of the inherent dangers and risks of skiing and may not recover from any ski area operator for any injury resulting from any of the inherent dangers and risks of skiing including: changing weather conditions; existing and changing snow conditions; bare spots; rocks; stumps; trees; collision with natural objects, man- made objects or other skiers; variations in the terrain; and the failure of the skiers to ski within their own abilities.
