Teton Gravity Research Premiere – November 19, 2016A Ski/Snowboard film premiere to kick the season off!

Opening Day – December 4, 2016: Sunlight Mountain Resort opens for 2015-2016 Season.

Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race – December 6, 2016: A Snowshoe Race!

Demo Days – December 20-21, 2016: Your opportunity to demo brand new Sunlight Skis. Bring the kids up to see Santa.

Skier Appreciation Day – January 6, 2017: We appreciate your skiers/snowboarders. Tickets are only $20 and all proceeds go to United Way of Garfield County.

Student/Teacher Appreciation Day – January 8, 2017: A free day for Teachers and Students are only $20.  

Dynafit Heathen Challenge (COSMIC Race) – January 14/15, 2017: A COSMIC (Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup) randonee mountaineering race. A backcountry hiking/climbing ski event where racers hike and ski the most challenging terrain at Sunlight.

USSA YSL Race-January 29, 2017: U10-16 Young Skiers League race on Joslin

Ski Spree – February 4/5, 2017: Taste of Sunlight, Mountain Teasure Hunt, Live music and fun for the entire family.

Special Olympics-February 10,2017: Western Region Finals

IFSA Jr. Big Mountain Regionals -February 18, 2017: A Big Mountain Competition held on the East Ridge. 

USSA U10/12 RACE - February 25/26, 2017: GS & Slalom on Joslin (NEW EVENT)

Defiance Challenge – March 3, 2017: How many laps can you ski in 10 hours? Lifts begin running at 8:00am and stop at 5:00pm. This is a true test of your skiing legs and how many laps you can do in 10 hours.

Sunlight Safety Day – March 4, 2017:On this day we honor Brad Lanpher, a long time Sunlight skier who lost his life to Melanoma Skin Cancer. Free testing clinic, plus score discounted pricing on 2017/18 lift tickets. Proceeds benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation. Other safety booths will be on display.

Telemark Festival – March 13-15, 2017

Sunlight Slushy Cup Pond Skim (Closing Day) – April 2, 2017:  Winner receives a 2017/18 season pass plus prizes for best costume! Registration at noon, Skim starts at 1 p.m.! Live music plus blowout deals on gear and apparel! 

Sadly, we are not able to have the Slushy Cup Pond Skim this year due to lack of snow at the base! Until next year!
