Despite its small stature, Sunlight has achieved many notable milestones in the ski industry, including last season when it released the Sunny 700, known passionately as “the best lift ticket ever.” The one-day lift ticket includes a day pass at nearby Iron Mountain Hot Springs, and a pair of custom skis made by Meier. The Sunny 700 gained widespread national press attention including the Denver Post and New York Times!
This year the Sunny 700 returns with catchy new graphics and a wider 108mm waist. Constructed with the same dimensions (140-108-133) as Meier’s award-winning “Docs,” named after famed Wild West gun slinger and gambler Doc Holiday, skiers call these “the outlaws of the backcountry.”
The Sunny 700s feature a minimized traditional camber and early-rise tip, perfect for stomping Sunlight’s deep powder and extreme steep terrain and an awesome all-around every day ski. For ladies, the Sunny 700 is built with the same dimensions (125-92-112) as Meier's Big Nose Kate, a ski that honors Mary Katherine Horony Cummings, girlfriend of Doc Holliday. As with all of Meier’s products, the Sunny 700s are built from 100 percent natural woods sustainably harvested from Colorado forests.
Sunlight 700s (140-108-133) are available in 6 lengths (168cm, 174cm, 179cm, 184cm).
Sunny 700s Big Nose Kate Edition (125-92-112) is available in three lengths (147cm, 155cm, 165cm).
