At Sunlight Mountain, we are dedicated to helping kids not just learn the sport, but truly love it. That's why our Kids' Ski & Ride School offers some of the lowest student-to-instructor ratios in the country, ensuring that your kids get the personalized attention they need to succeed. With several lesson options available, we make sure every young skier and rider has a fun, engaging, and supportive experience on the slopes.

Our group ski lessons pair your child with other kids of the same ability and get your child shredding the slopes in no time! Our lessons focus on teaching kids how to use their equipment, effectively slide, stop, and turn, and use the lifts safely.

Lesson Restrictions: Never-Evers and 4-year-olds are not able to pre-purchase Full-Day Lessons. They may be able to upgrade to a Full-Day lesson, but only with their Instructor's recommendation and pending availability. We do not provide Group Lessons for snowboarders under 7-years-old. With the Sunny Pick 3 package, your child can enjoy three ski lessons, half-day or full-day, and you have the flexibility to chose the days of the lessons. Take all three in a row, in a week, or throughout the season! The only requirement is that all lessons must be booked ahead of time to ensure availability.

Private lessons provide your little ones with individualized instruction and a safe and fun environment to build their skills on the slopes. For our 3-year-old skiers and 5- to 6-year-old snowboarders, we only offer private lessons due to the attention those lessons require. Private lessons are offered on a very limited basis, so please contact us at kids@sunlightmtn.com. 

Lesson Restrictions: Group lessons are not available for 3-year-olds. But, we do offer a Multi-Week program for our 3-year-olds! Snowboard lessons are not available for 3- or 4-year-olds.
